Our library is a beautiful and cornfortable one in which to study, but we value the standards by which it is operated even more than its beauty and comfort. Both the stacks and reserve shelves in our library are open to the studentsy we are espe- cially proud of this unique feature because it is a proof of the success of student democracy at RC. Faced with the almost impossible task of providing appetizing and nourishing meals in these days of rationing and shortages, Miss Reed and Miss Thiele- man have co-operated wholeheartedly to give us the very best possible. Freshmen have not finished the peril- ous hanging of curtains before they become acquainted with the genial, ever-present figure on campus who is our Hank .
