The ????, became a part of Rock Valley ' s history. Through a contest put before the student body and won by John Gile, the newspaper was named THE VALLEY FORGE. The second issue established a permanent editorial staff appointed by the faculty advisor. Those appointed were: Dennis Larson, Editor-in-chief; Richard Fitzgerald, Managing Editor; Jim Reidel, Advertising Manager Linda Dobbs, News Editor; Lynda Donaldson, Feature Editor; and Don Bryant, Sports Editor. THE VALLEY FORGE became a bi-monthly newspaper and was to be published from September to June, except during examination and vacation periods.
