We sfarfed wifh a bang by winning fhe Pep Yelling Confesf and by sponsoring a parfy which was one of fhe besf of fhe year. Everyone was asfounded, including ourselves, when we won fhe Cifizenship Cup-an honor which very rarely comes fo fhe freshmen. I Affer a blissful summer of doing nofhing, we again enfered R. S. H. S. wifh nofhing on our minds buf fo heckle fhe incoming freshmen. Buf woe and behold, we were sfill dubbed Hunderclassmeni' by fhe haughfy seniors. This year also marked a well-affended parfy given by fhe sophs. The year came fo an end wifh final examinafions, and all of us hoped and prayed fhaf we would come ouf all righf in fhe end because we did so wanf fo be lumors. Then came our one big momenf: we were finally fo be known as upperclassmen. Buf we sfill musf have looked rafher green because fhe seniors commenfed on how fhe pupils seemed more and more fo reverf back fo fheir infancy. We all furned info social bufferflies for a nighf and gave a Junior Prom fhaf was somefhing fo be remembered. This was cerfainly one nighf when we fhanked our lucky sfars fhaf we had affendod fhe Learn fo Dance mixers and had gof over fhe idea of blushing whenever a cufe liffle fhing favored us wifh a shy glance from her cornflower-blue eyes. Finally affer much worrying and sfewing, we became seniors. Jusf fhink-now we were going fo be freafed wifh some respecf by fhe feachers and underclassmen! The facf fhaf we were given fhe privilege of elecfing fhe King and Queen of Homecoming convinced us of fhis. The Senior-Alumni Dance was our big social evenf, and we are cerfain fhaf if gof everyone info fhe righf Chrisfmas spirif. Commencemenf marked fhe end of fhese four happy years, and we were faced wifh fhe facf fhaf fhis nighf was fhe lasf fime we would ever again march down fhe aisles of fhe Audiforium as sfudenfs of Rock Springs High School.
