The Class of 1941 Four years ago a group of green freshmen wandered into Rock Springs High School. This class, consisting of 210 members, started its sojourn with Francis Connor as president; Donald Chlpp, vice-president; Patricia Livingston, secretary; and Zora Kruljac, treasurer. Bette Yugovich and Floyd Bassani achieved distinction by receiving the freshman Gros Ventre pins. This class was proud to have in its midst such an outstanding athlete as Tony Katana, who was the first high school student in the state of Wyoming to be named to an all-state team during his freshman year. Somewhat less foolish, but scarcely any wiser, we came back as sophomores. To help us follow the right trail, we elected the following officers: Francis Connor, Alice Simon, Donald Chlpp, and Gareth Boyce. Balloons and more balloons were used to decorate the gym for the party we gave as our contribution to the social life of our school. We returned from vacation as juniors, eager to do a better job than ever. We traveled this year under the leadership of John Dickson, Blanche Dolence, Alice Simon, and Wilma Hegedus. The highlight of our activities was the Junior Prom, a t which Zora Kruljac reigned as queen. For this occasion the gymnasium was gaily decorated with colorful butterflies. Continuing on the road to suc¬ cess, we received the citizenship cup during both semesters. In the fourth year we finally reached the goal toward which we had traveled. Coming down the home stretch, Francis Connor, Oreste Berta, Blanche Dolence, and Wilma Hegedus were chosen to keep the wheels rolling. Our first important event was Homecoming. Francis Connor and Helen Griffiths proudly reigned as king and queen. During the holiday season we entertained the alumni at the traditional Senior-Alumni Dance. Finally we came to Senio r Week, with its attractions of Class Day and the Senior Picnic. Of the original class, one hundred twenty-one have traveled with us to the climax of our journey—Commencement Day.
