WYOMING SUNRISE Oh, last night's fading moon is hanging low, A rosy light breaks on the snow-crowned hills- The misty valley stretcha blue below- The world awakens to a new day's thrills! I grieve to think this glory soon will pass, This scene of gorgeous sunrise, glowing dawn- So let me drink this hour's brimming glass Down to the. last. last drap-ere it is gone! If I could hold this beauty which I see Within my heart--l should not need a creed- I could be true to all the best in me, In thought and word. in principle and deed! --Stella Anne C reek. - 1;; IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII . We were a very excited group, anxiously anticipating the activities of the year. George Angelovic. our class president, aided us, by his leadership, in making our Freshman activities a success. In our Sophomore year Albert Crippa was elected president. Proving his ability as a leader, he was again elected president in the Junior year. After the hrst semester he was admitted into the Senior Class, and Mary O'Donnell was then elected president, but on account of illness was taken from school. Her successor being Clara Daniels. The Sagebrusher, published in that year, was one of the best in the history of the High School. The Junior Prom was a gala event in honor of the Seniors of '2 7. After having achieved the last year of our high school career we breathlessly. yet, sorrowfully await graduation. Page Sixteen ERMA TARRIs Ed An arlisl-soon. This course has proved so popular that each year about twice as many wish to en- roll as ue permitted to take the course. This limitation of numbers is due to lack of room. Wk the department is supplied with a hue professional library and other equipment. the classroom will accommodate hut fifteen students. The course is open only to Seniors and hhh-year students. This year's class is composed of: MISS MAUDE SHOLTY. Instructor, Anna Copyak. Alma Pedri, Ethyle Portwood. Thelma Stiteler. .'3 Louise Kamenshi. Anna Angelovic, ' Agnes Marshall. Mabel Staveran. Margaret Ftancis. Jennie Lusher. Nell Young. Ema Tanis. Marion Buck, Ethel Woodward. The course covers a wide variety of subjects. such as will prove necessary for teach- ing. including Educational Psychology. School Management, and Educational Method. The most interesting part is the actual teaching in the elementary grades of the city, under the supervision of the grade teachers and the Normal Training Instructor. The members of the class are usually energetic and have undertaken a number of activities. As an educational project. practical first aid has been studied. with Mr. Matt Marshall as instructm. As a social activity, the Sholty's Club was organized at the be- ginning of the yen. and has continued to meet every two weeks. This activity has en- couraged a friendly feeling in the class and it is hoped that the club will become a per- manent organization. An organization of the High School that sponsors sports for girls. Thelma Stiteler holds the ofhce of president of this organization, and is assisted by eight officers who help promote various sports. Basketball seems to be the chief sport of the C.A.L. This year the girls team was not allowed to go on visiting trips. so a tournament was conducted between the classes in the high school. The Seniors were victorious and received the orange and black basket- ball suits; the Sophomores running a close second. There are many more sports which any girl may enter into. such as swimming. skating. hiking. archery, baseball. volleyball, socker, tennis and riHing. At the head of each of these sports is a girl who has charge of all the pomts which may be gained by taking part in these activities. A black sweater is given to each girl who earns hve hundred points during her high school career. She may earn these points through taking part in any of the sports men- honed. Each year several social affairs are planned and carried out by the members. It is hoped that in the future the C.A.L. will go over bigger than it has in the past. l'mzv Seu-nty-o-ight uunuuuunumeuu CIIMOIIINIII.IIIIIOIHIIOIHIIIII. IIIIIIIICIDIINIIMII ICINININMOIIIII l.
