This is a desirable and much needed subject, as a strong body is a person's greatest wealth. Pat Johnsonis shown leading the class in their calisthenics. - MUSIC The new music room was designed last year for almost perfect accoustical effects. Band and chorus are offered to grades seven throughtwelve. They haveaclass period each day for practice. The chorus presents programs for chapel and civic clubs. The Christmas concert is an event to which students, parents, and teachers look forward.

SOCIAL STUDIES Since our country's history is of great im- portance to us, all juniors are required to study United States history. World history is offered that students may learnof old empires, religions, and countries of today. Civics, so- ciology, and economics, also, are taught this year. Mr. Carter is shown using an up-to-date map whichaids him as a United States history teacher in his presentation, and assists the students in their understanding. VOCATIONAL AGRICULTURE The program of vocational agriculture at Rock Springs High School includes the follow- ing activities: Classroom work, field trips, farm-mechanics instruction and shop work, supervised farming programs, Future Farm- ers of America activities, exploring job op- portunities, and requirements and types of jobs in the world of work .

GUIDANCE The guidance counselors advise students on matters of courses, vocations, scholarships, tests, and colleges. Mr. Carter and Mr. Heavner are our guidance counselors. LIBRARY SCIENCE A studious atmosphere is found in the li- braries. The librarian, Mrs. Coleman, and assistants see that the proper book or other information is easily accessible to the stu- dents. DRIVER EDUCATION Students at Rock Springs look forward to the day that they are old enough to enroll in driver education class. Above, Mr. Carter is shown with some of his students.
