Last Will and Cestament State of North Carolina County of Lincoln City of Denver Township of Catawba Springs We, the Senior Class of 1951, being of sound mind, unmarred bodies, and realizing that the final days of our school years are about to end, do hereby make our last will and testament. ARTICLE I To the principal, Mr. Little, we leave our thanks for his kindness shown us during the past four years. To Miss Miller, we leave our cooking and sewing ability for the rest of the high school boys in hope that they have better success than we. To Miss Dellinger, we regretfully leave our knowledge in Chemistry and Science along with our books, because we feel sure we have learned everything out of class when we should have been learning in class. To Mrs. Maxwell, we leave our thanks for the kindness shown us in the long days in which we tried to learn English and Spanish. To Mrs. Sigmon, we leave our appreciation for her help during the hours we spent in the commercial department and also our deepest thanks for her patience shown us with the different play casts. To Mr. Wallin, we leave our Economic books and all test papers and also our ability to play basketball. To Mr. Carpenter, we leave all lost tools and also our thanks for the classes taught us on the boll weevil. (Maybe he won't get all of our cotton.) To Mrs. Little, we leave the pianos and our music and hymn books for next year's students. ARTICLE II To the Middlers, we leave our encouragement for the four years that follow, hoping that someday, they too, may become Seniors. To the Freshmen, we leave our knowledge, hoping that theirs along with ours will give them an easier time in the school years that follow. To the Sophomores, we leave our seats in English with a big wish for success. To the Juniors, we leave our chapel seats and our caps and gowns and hope that they will look forward to them as anxiously as we did. ARTICLE Ill To our friends, we leave our personal belongings as follows: I, Cecil Ballard, will my long legs to Ray Cloninger. Joan Ballard, will my waist line to Reggie Stroupe. Dariel Black, will my height to Vaughn Dean Brotherton. Russell Christopher will my place on the superlative list to Clifton Stroupe. Leo Christopher, will my wit and mechanical genius to Delano Robinette. Paul Garrison, will my knowledge to John Lester Little. Junior Gilleland, will my friendliness to Parks Glover. Geraldine Goodson, will my ability to play basketball to Frances Ann Little. Janet Hager, will my walk to Billie Mae Shellem. Betty Lee Kaylor, will my quietness in class to Goat’’ Nixon. Johnny Keever, will to those who don't need much, that which I can’t give. Guy Killian, will my ability to stay awake in class to Jackie Howard. I, Elliott Loftin, will my place in the Beta Club to Grady Barker. I, Barbara Jean Miller, will my intelligence to Maurice Crouse. I, Billy Nixon, will my wavy hair to Dennis Sifford. I, Joyce Nixon, will my ability to play basketball to Carey Sherrill. I, Billie Poole, will my witty ways to Gerald Howard.
