The students especially enjoyed working with a land map of Rock Port. People from the community spoke to the students about small businesses, how checks work, and nuclear energy. A special unit on Mexi- can Christmas customs was culminated with the making of a pinata. The sixth grade teachers were Mrs. Linda Kincannon and Mrs. lulie Shrader. Mrs. Nigh escorts her class in from recess. wmxsnmsma. .vumnolfu vat ln Lovlhg Memory of Mrs. Jane Mgh Mrs. lane Nigh, teacher of second grade, passed away lune 20, 1979. Mrs. Nigh graduated from Rock Port High School and then attended Peru State College and gradu- ated with a B.S. in education degree from Tarkio College. During her teaching years she taught in the elementary grades in Watson, Gallatin, and Rock Port for 36 years with the last 18 years in Rock Port. She will be always remembered for her thoughtfulness in sending birthday and graduation cards to the students she had had in class. Mrs. Nigh was deeply loved and appreciated by all, and will be greatly missed.
