Above: Sketch books were always good for a laugh. Below: Mr. Greiner picks out an album. , f-ey: f Creative Learning The instrumental music classes were taught by Mr. Ken Greiner. He was responsible for Elementary Band, Junior High Band, High School Band, and Music Appreciation. Mrs. Lynn Hunter instructed the Junior High and High School Choruses as well as the Swing Choir. The Junior High and High School art classes were taught by Miss Amy Freeman. The main project for these students this year was redecorat- ing the art room. Above: Amy's story time. - r ' as Hard at work. Crossing Borders French and Spanish were offered as Foreign Language class- es this year. The students studied and practiced the basic pronunciation patterns. Understanding the spoken words, reading, Writing, and speaking were also introduced. The study of culture was also an important part of the class- room study. Cultural projects included tlie study of foreign holidays, singing songs in foreign languages, craft projects Cpaper mache and pinatasj discussion of famous personali- ties, and learning proverbs and customs. Exploring Life Through History The history classes were taught by Mr. Gene Finke. Students learned about the United States as well as world history. Mr. Finke also taught Decisions and Civics. These classes were de signed to help students organize their lives after high school. Mr. Mark Dulgarian taught Sociology, Psychology, Geog- raphy, and American Government. These classes took Field trips along with their regular classroom work. At right: Mr. Mark Dulgarian. Below: Huh! Below In deep thought
