A new class in Rock Port High School this year was Intro- duction to Occupations. It was designed to give the student on-the-job training in a field that he has an interest. The responsibility of this class includes four days working on the job, usually one hour out of each day and one day out of each week meeting with Miss Conboy, the instructor, and doing the various library assignments that she has given. COE was a popular class again this year with many students finding interesting jobs under the instruction of Mr. Steve Scamman. Like last year, it was a two hour class with the student working in a place of business in the community. It is not only fun for the student but very beneficial also. 1 v Olga takes a break. Also, another new course introduced this year was Inde- pendent Study. Students took this course during a free hour of their time under an instructor teaching a subject that the student is interested in. The students followed their own course of study with some guidance by the teacher. Pictured Lower Left are the COE students under the direc- tion of Mr. Steve Scamman.
