N5 ag Mr . Mark Dulgarian, Government students listen as Mr. Dulgarian explains a world concern ports. Because Rock Port High School was on the semester system this year, a varied selection of Social Science classes were offered. Mr. Gene Finke taught five different Social Science classes, The courses he taught included the study of the dawn of man, the rise of modern man, the struggle for liberty, world con- flicts, the rise of communist powers, the cold war, the civil war, the old west, and the U.S. during the 1920's through l96O's. Mr. Mark Dulgarian taught four different Social Sci- ence classes along with Sociology and Psychology. They inclu- ded Geography and Government. Psy. played Man and Woman . Mrs. Marquart taught Literature I and II and Com- position I. Mrs. Christy taught Composition I and II, Com- munication I and Speech I, II and III. In each of these semester classes, students kept journals. Composition students learned about sentence and paragraph structure. Some students in speech, after studying different kinds of speeches, participated in several programs and district and state speech contests.
