This year we teachers were especially busy. Since we taught all subjects we became well acquainted with our stu- dents. During the year we participated in the basketball games and volleyball tournaments-we even won a few! As sponsors, the juniors and seniors kept us the busiest with their plays and the juniors' concession stands. and the Prom. The seniors had their trip and organized Baccalaure- ate and Commencement. The freshmen had County Government Day in which we helped them with their speeches whenever help was needed. The class meetings kept us on our toes because the students always had new and different ideas. Then before we knew it the year was gone. We didn't accomplish all we started out to do but the interesting off- the-subject talks with the students made it all worthwhile. MRS. In addition to this, we learned of the children in neighboring countries and how they lived. Our teachers taught us the im- portance of good manners and safety, always keep- ing in mind good citizenship. The flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, the Star Spangled Banner, and of course recess were only a few of the important things that we learned that will mean so much to us in the years ahead. This year our teachers thought of new ways to make learning more fun. As the year pro- gressed we elected class officers and they conducted class meetings. The highlights of the year were the Christmas and Valentine parties. This year we realized more and more how much an education means to us and each day we strive to achieve more knowledge. ia 1?
