Terry Brooks outruns even the best. Randy Wright (15) watches a pass fall incomplete. “Here, you take it.” exclaims quarter¬ back Craig Allison. In the remainder of the season the Rocks played to a three and three record setting them on top of the Quad-City Metro Conference, and taking them to a state play-off game versus a tough East St. Louis squad. Although the Rocks had nu¬ merous fan support, the grid- ders fell 35-0 ending a remark¬ able season for Hugh John¬ son’s squad. The year’s most valuable play¬ er award went to Terry Brooks who set a Quad-City Metro Conference record by rushing for 286 yards against Gales¬ burg. Most Improved went to lineman Leon Baugh; with best blocker going to Lonnie Pittard. Mike Moore captured best team man and one of the co¬ captains with the other being Terry Brooks. 22 Varsity Football
