This year’s winning float was Rocky East’s contribution. Whale ' M. Other floats (at left) were the Senior ' s We Will Rock You; Rocky Wests’ Rock ' EM Sock ' EM; AFS’ It’s a Small World; The Sophomore’s Rock-N-Roll ' EM; and below is the Ju¬ nior ' s Jail House Rock. The bonfire and pep rally which followed the Powder Puff game, boosted the spirits of the Rocks.

Many changes occurred in rules and regulations this year. One example is the parking lot. Students were able to rent a reserved parking space, enabling the city to control the lots. Students were subject to a $5 fine for abusing these privileges. Security tightened its belt this year too. Hall passes were required and In- School Suspension (ISS) became an everyday term. The average student thinks of Rocky in many ways, but probably never like this. Hey, sophomores. “How do you feel?” In Search Of . . 7

Presented at the assembly were Queen Mary Love and King Charley Banks and their court. The St. Ambrose Jazz Band provided a part of the enter¬ tainment. Reading from left to right in pairs is the 1978-79 Homecoming Royalty Court: M B. Rice: M. Moore; K. Layer; T. Brooks; K. Caras; M. Abolt; Queen M. Love; King C. Banks; L. Hanson; G. Donnelson; J. Miller; D. Franz; M. Sebben; L. Weinstein; S. Voss; R. Wright. Mary Beth Rice ‘blasts off at the Home¬ coming assembly. Barry Ferm ‘drums up’ some spirit during the school song.
