AFTERNOON A66EMBLIE6 This year’s assemblies, sponsored primarily by the “Newly-organized Senate”, led to greater student inter¬ est and participation. Appealing to a variety of interests, the sixth period alternative included such features as the Iowa Repertory Ballet Company, special awards assemblies, student school board members assemblies, pep assemblies with coaches and squads as the stars, and “The Hairy Falsetto” a drama club presentation of “Little Red Riding Hood.” Since the assemblies were student planned and class alternatives, they appealed to the interest of the student- audience.
