Val Alvarenga, Rocky ' s guest from Brazil is all smiles about the American way of life - in¬ cluding English class! Rocky has undergone a change. This is the year when we open our own doors and make our own decisions. We are no longer treated as an identi¬ fication number or a part of the two- thousand and seventy-seven regis¬ tered students. We have become indi¬ viduals with responsibilities and heard opinions working with teachers and administrators on an open level. The first place winner in Senate s Holiday Door Decorating Contest” demonstrates a Santa that twirles a basketball on his finger, and his fire place that is fully equipped with sound effects.

An ATMOSpJlERE oF PersonaI Expression Experiences and memories are made through new additions and changes. We live in an ever-changing world and at¬ tend an ever-changing school. Re-dis¬ tributed work and new committees make new ideas come to life. Re-organized administration and informed involved parents and concerned students all work together for more priviledges, such as early graduation and self-scheduling. Expression, important to a good working relationship, can be in the form of art, music, or drama. We can find our own place at the “Rock.” Debbie Carter works diligently on her first floor mural of “Rocky during her art class.
