Victory! Eighty-eight Times The girl’s tennis team recently finished anoth¬ er great season, winning all matches in their 1973 Fall tennis schedule, which gave them another win of the Quad-City Metro-Conference. They now have had 88 straight victories, stretching since the Spring of 1970. This fall they won the district team titles, with Susie Briggs taking first place in singles play, and Carol Foss and Beth McLaughlin tak¬ ing the first place spot in doubles play. The team then advanced to the State Tournament, taking 5th place. The outstanding player on this year ' s team is Susie Briggs, with 81 straight win in Metro-Con¬ ference singles and doubles play. 1. Season Ends Brightly The 1973 Spring Season started slow for the boys golf team with a record of 2 and 9 but they finished up the season with 5 straight wins, giv¬ ing them 3rd in the conference. The varsity team had 1 Junior, 4 Sophomores and 2 Freshmen on it which should give them a very strong team in the future.
