Under construction for almost two years. Rock Island Senior High School’s new ad¬ dition is finally reaching the home stretch. 1966 saw the opening of Rocky’s ex¬ panded cafeteria facilities. The first half of 1967 viewed the opening of the new con¬ course, connecting one arm of the school to the other. The project has cost $1,500,000 and will provide R.I.H.S. with two new music rooms, and new Chem-Phys section, and over twenty-two general purpose classrooms. Originally scheduled for opening in September of 1 966, the project was hampered by many problems. The date has been set back to September ’67.
