Each senate room elects a senator on the basis of leadership, citizenship, loyalty to the school, and the ability to main¬ tain a C average in all studies. Under the sponsorship of Charles O. Austin, Jr., Florence J. Liebbe, and Herbert L. Wagner, the Senate met each Thursday of this school year on alternating periods. The Senate sponsored various drives and after-game dances, chose the as¬ semblies for next year, and carried out many other activities under the leadership of Daniel Firth, presi¬ dent; James Knoblauch, vice-presi¬ dent; and Kay Holst, secretary.
