Wight l C'vmmanderA MR. HANSON Superintendent Earl H. Hanson and the members of the school board are working to uplift the standards of education in the Rock Island public schools. With the welfare of the pupils at heart, these men give us the modern educational system we now enjoy. They are faced with the many problems con- fronting wartime directors. They have attacked these problems energetically and have been successful in solving nearly all of them. Seeing that the students receive proper guidance is one of their duties. Engaging teachers and buying textbooks are important parts of their job.
