fxecuti eA Keeping the production wheels turn- ing in this vast educational war plant is President Earl H. Hanson's job. His work and the work of our board of di- rectors truly deserve an UE for Effi- ciency. These executives have zealously tackled the many problems confronting War-time directors and have tried, suc- cessfully in a majority of cases, to an- ticipate the questions and problems of youth in war time. Their efforts also have aided our country in its anti- juvenile delinquency campaign, for they well realize that the products turned out here Will not only serve in helping to Win the War, but will be a deciding factor in keeping the peace after the war. EARL H. HANSON Through them, all classes have been put on an efficient war-time schedule, utilizing every moment to bring us closer to that day when our efforts can again be turned to education for nor- mal times. General manager of Rock Island High School's war plant is Owen B. Wright, principal. Under Mr. Wright's efficient direction, Rock Island High School is training on the average of fifteen hundred students a year. Be- cause of the three years spent at Rocky High, this year's graduates will take their places with confidence as mem- bers of the armed forces and as war workers. Two able assistants to Mr. Wright are his personnel managers, Miss Florence Liebbe, dean of girls, and Mr. E. S. Metcalf, dean of boys The personal and individual prob- lems of every worker attending this school are given complete, fair, and considerate attention by our personnel managers. To them should go a special award for making possible efficiency in production. OWEN B. WRIGHT E. S. METCALF FLORENCE LIEBBE
