Class History We, the classmates of Rock Hill, are going to let our minds drift back four years when our high school days first began. At this time the school was Pedro and the class officers were: President, Lawrence Fields; Vice-President, Bob Bare; Secretary, Thelma Johnson: Treasurer, Marta Nance: and News Reporter, LaVerne McClellan. The officers at Hanging Rock were: President, Ossie Martin; Vice-President, Phyllis Butler; Secretary and lreasurer, Chester Wilson; and News Reporter, Avanelle Gilmore. At Kitts Hill the officers were: President, Jeannine Heaberlin; Vice-President, Homer Walls: Secretary, Gail Christian; Treasurer, Dorthy Clement; and News Reporter, Pauline Walker. As we entered the second year, we again chose class officers. From Pedro they were: President, Carl Wooten; Vice-President, Teddy Bamer; Secretary, Ruth Nelson; Treasurer, Charles Nance; and News Reporter, Carrie Nelson. The officers at Hanging Rock were: President, Jim Colvin: Vice-President, Ossie Martin: Secretary, Chester Wilson; Treasurer, Bob Zornes; and News Reporter, Reece Horton. The officers at Kitts Hill were: President, Donnie Jenkins: Vice-President, Herschel Pierce; Secretary, Jeannine Heaberlin: Treasurer, Lawrence Fields: and News Reporter, Jess Wilson. We will now journey back to our Junior year. During this year Hanging Rock and Kitts Hill began their studies at Pedro which then became Rock Hill as we know it now. We welcomed many new students into our class. The class officers chosen were: President, Bob Zornes: Vice-President, Don Jenkins; Secretary, Ruth Valentine; Treasurer, Ossie Martin; and News Reporter, Jim Colvin. This was a very important year as we received our class rings. We now recall the Junior Class Play, •‘The Boarding House Reach,” and even more important was the Junior-Senior Prom. The trip to Washington D. C. was another interesting experience this year. Now the Senior year comes into view and the class officers are: President, Don Jenkins: Vice-President, Ronald Porter; Secretary, Ruth Valentine: Treasurer, Charles Brown; and News Reporter, LaVerne McClellan. As graduation approaches in May we realize how rewarding our four years have been and it is with hope that we face the future believing that our education is just beginning.
