Rock Hill High School's choral program is designed to give interested students a chance to improve and display their musi- cal talents. All chorus students are first introduced into the program by taking Chorus I. Then, if chosen by Mrs. Helton, they continue with Chorus Il and the Choral Ensemble. These two groups perform at Christmas and in the spring. The Choral Ensemble performs each year at the community Christmas pro- gram at Winthrop College. They par- at ticipate in many community projects during the year to better the community and learn at the same time. Their plans each year include giving a Halloween party to a retarded Boy Scout troop, collecting canned goods for the needy at Thanksgiving, sponsoring a needy family at Christmas, and helping with the Special Olympics in the spring. These girls feel good about themselves because they are giving of their time to help others.
