The marching band spends a week at camp in the summer preparing its contest show, and they display their talent during pre-game and halftime at most football games. BAND OF DISTINCTIO The Band of Distinction has con- tinually kept its outstanding reputa- tion throughout the past five years by receiving the highest honor awarded by the South Carolina Band Directors' Association, the Outstanding Band Awardv. During concert season the band partici- pates actively in Solo and Ensemble Festival, Western Region Band, and All-State Band to prepare for the fi- nale ofthe season, Concert Festival, held at The Citadel this year.
