Composed mostly of Mrs. Ferguson's German students, the club ac- tively increases its understanding through listening to lectures, preparing different as- pects of German customs such as Christmas trees and various foods, and attending Inter- national Language Festivals. SP NISH CLUB 1 The Spanish Club Officers: Debbie Funderburk, Presidentg Vicki Goins, Vice-prcsidentg Jcssi- ca Reid, Treasurcrg Linda Avery, Secretary. The Spanish Club exists for the improve- ment of the spoken language and for better understanding of the Spanish culture through contact with native inhabitants of the Spanish-speaking countries. Special speakers who are acquainted with certain aspects of these countries and their cul- tures attend the Spanish Club meetings. The Club also tries to attend the Foreign Language Festival in Columbia in the spring.
