CLEMSO TIGERS 1981 ATIO AL CHAMPIONS The year 1981 was the finest year ever for the Clemson Tigers. The unbeaten, untied football team became the national champions after defeating the Nebraska Corn- huskers in the Orange Bowl. People across the nation have stopped asking who and where when Clemson is mentioned. Everybody knows who they are and where they are. The awesome defensive unit, with All-Ameri- cans like Jeff Davis and Terry Kinard, the unpredictable Homer Jordan, outstanding receivers such as Tuttle and Magwood, and the methodical coaching of Danny Ford all add up to being Number 1.
