FIVE OUTSTANDI G GRADU TES OF ROCK HILL HIGH SCHGOL fas chosen by a committee of teachers, counselors, and former teachersj For the third year the Bearcat staff features a section on Honored Alumni as proof that a good education is one of the essential ingredi- ents of what is known generally as success. To be sure, the grace of God, hard work, and many other indefinable elements are necessary to achieve successg but a really good education is certainly indispens- able. The eminent graduates of Rock Hill High School whose pictures and curricula vitae follow were once students in this American public high school. They Worked hard while they were here. They set their sights on their many and varied ambitions. And from the evidence offered within these pages these alumni have hit the mark. It is the hope of the staff that the example of these distinguished graduates will inspire and encourage the present students of Alma Mater to the extent that one day in the not-too-distant future they will be invited themselves to fill similar pages in the Bearcat.
