The constitution and year book were approved and a charter was sent to the RHHS Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America. So it's goodbye to the J. H. A. and hurrah for the F. H. A. First came the hilarious event of initiation when the new members became scrub girls-cleaning and scrubbing every- thing the senior girls demanded. The Delta Tri-Hi-Y Club has as its aim to create, maintain, and extend throughout the homes, schools, and community higher standards of Christian charac- ter. The club meets twice a month at the YMCA. This year the club has been very active. It sent four representatives-Judy Pat Ayers, Patsy Cook, Georgette Williamson, and Carol Hudgins-to the Tri-Hi-Y Convention of the Carolinas. Mrs. Judith Bazemore, our sponsor, also attended. The mem- bers honored their mothers in December with a Mother-Daughter banquet. At Thanksgiving and Christmas needy families were helped. dl 7-.514 Now we have a Chapter of 140 members of which we are very proud. 1958-1959 seemed ot be full of exciting activities tor us. In September the State Fair trip rolled around. Even the rain failed to dampen the spirit of the crowd. Next the ioint party with the boys of the F. F. A. at the Coca Cola plant. In December another party for the purpose of selecting the F.F.A. sweetheart from a group of twelve candidates. Programs were held monthly with committee meetings called at various times. Spring brought a picnic and plans for another school year. 12 - .QQ President .
