The deadlines may give the staff ulcers, but the paper also gives them memories-Irene and Arthur Page One Hundred Two ' t nv- 5' +. 4? slaving to get their late copy to the print shop, Mickey trying to think up a different way to arrange the sports page, Helene trying to balance the books, the dubious spelling of the reporters, and Mrs. Boze- more and Miss Stowe worrying about the money. The Garnet and Black is a member of the Na- tional Scholastic Association, the South Carolina Scholastic Press Association, Quill and Scroll, and competes monthly in the Winthrop College Story of the Month Contest.
