N251-fx? CLASS HI TORY more clubs to join. We could take a more active part in choral activities. Under the direction of Mrs. Guess our glee clubs won superior rating. At our Freshman-Sophomore Frolic, sponsored by the freshmen, we had a real treat. Our interests were turned to scholastic attain- ments, also. That year again many Rock Hill High students participated in the State Mental Contests. We began thinking seriously of the courses for our last two years in high school. We wondered and sometimes worried about having our major and minor subject requirements filled. '?'!w..i .., ,515 awe The other pause that refreshes CLASS- HISTORY All in all, our sophomore year was successful, although not without complaint. We had reached the midpoint of our high school career, which was our main accomplishment. School-life seemed brighter as we looked forward to being Juniors. Our Junior year was perhaps the most exciting and carefree year of all. We had not yet had to battle with term papers. Nevertheless, we were no longer in a wilderness of uncertainty. We had cleared the way and were joined together by the overwhelming school spirit which had been growing for three years. Some of our fellow classmen were on the var- sity football team which made us proud of our status as Juniors. We felt important participating in activi- ties with the Seniors. We were no longer classed with the greenhorns of the school. As usual, our subjects were harder.
