Basketball Captains Volleyball Champions and Runners Up Badminton Ping Pong More than 150 girls played in the volleyball tournament dur- ing October and November. This is the time of year the freshmen are meeting and learning to know other high school students, so the volleyball tournament has a kind of special meaning for them. The Yellow Jacket team, captained by Annie Hefner, finally won the volleyball championship after playing off a tie and out- scoring the Kittens in the last game. Of the 130 girls who participated in the basketball tourna- ment, 48 were chosen to go to Dreher High School in Columbia for our basketball playday on March 5. The girls always look for- ward to this trip, which gives them a chance to play against other G. A. A. teams as well as a day of fun and recreation together. In March we started our ping-pong and badminton tourna- ments. And with warmer weather, the girls were anxious to get their bats and take to the softball field. This year the G. A. A. Letter Club had its beginning. Our aim for this club is to get more girls to take leadership positions in the G. A. A. organization. Softball Trampoline fi
