ROCK HILL 14, CHARLESTON 6 Rock Hill started the season off right by flog- ging the Charleston Bantams 14 to 6. Rock Hill couldn't get rolling the first half and it was Charleston 6 to 0 at the half. In the second half Rock Hill roared back with touchdowns by Smith and Thrower to smother Charleston. Standouts throughout the game were Ted Carnes, Richard Comer, Bill Hollis, Gene Phillips, and Jerry Hart- sell. ROCK HILL 6, GREENWOOD 14 The tables were turned on the Bearcats in their nexlt outing. The Bearcats got off to a 6 to 0 half- time lead, but Greenwood came back to score 14 points in the second half. Rock Hill was plagued by penalties that totaled 125 yards. Bright spots in the game were Bill Hollis punting for a 41.8 Smith goes for eight yards against Parker. average and Harold Smith gaining 57 yards.
