A lot of hard work, but worth it! is the reason the Garnet and Black Staff publishes the monthly school newspaper. The deadlines may give the staff ulcers, but the paper also gives them memories-Evelyn and Geraldine slaving all Saturday to get their late copy to the print shop, Judy wondering what to put in her column, Jimmy trying to think up something different, Barbara and Julianne trying to balance the books, the dubious spelling of the reporters, and Mrs. Amick and Miss Long Worry- ing about the money. The Garnet and Black is published monthly to print the news of the school and give students an opportunity to express themselves. The Garnet and Black is a member of the S. C. S. P. A., N. S. P. A., and the Quill and Scroll and competes monthly in the Winthrop College of the Month Contest. t :jf fi. Z?
