Bobby Tinkler, captain and end, and Bill MCGill, alternate captain and guard, were named to the South Carolina squad for the Shrine Bowl game in Charlotte. Tackle lohnny Brunson also won honors and was selected as a member of the Up-State tearn which played in the Horse Bowl game at Camden.
