0 J THE GYPSY SAYS--- The Class of 1960 decided to take a world trip in 1969 to reunite with the Class of 1959, Naturally our cruise was taken on the A, C. C, B, S, Starting on our Journey we met none other than Larry Surface We talked to him for a few minutes and he in ormed us that he had his own band for the Acenrk Larry told us that he and Nathan Brown were confirmed bachelors n the ship and Nathan was his best Drumer Boy Nathan remarked that he was also the minister on the ship To our surprise Roger Uptegraft better known as Upte was the professional Spoon player for the Acenik W ater learned that he was married to the former Karen Tootles Crosbie and they were doing GREAT but were neiving some trouble from their eight year old daughter Billy Jean Glenda Vaught and Betty White were living in society at the royal suite Since Glenda s husband left her and er five boys with the Ship s Artist and Conversattonalist Betty she had been drinking her sorrows away' Jackie Reber the brunette beauty was the outstanding Model on the ship Although Jackie wasn t married she a that she was still looking and had turned down many good chances After attending the fashion show we ran into Harvey Gus Brown Chatting with htm longer than we should ave we found out that he was married to the former Kate Woodward Gus said that he and his seven little RICK HAWS were the ship s neatest loafers Karen Brown and Diane Summers were partners at the Scientrst s Exhibition Hall They said they would never et marrled since they couldn t flnd a chemical formula for males As our Journey was coming to a close we discovered that we had not seen all the kids of 59 Well there was othrng to do but scratch the earth trl we found them Our first stop was Russia Khrushchev Mikoyan and Pam Peeper were debating on Dam s race horses' Pam was ositive that she had the best horses in the world We questtoned Pam to see rf she had turned communist but she 11d she would always be loyal to Markle Speeding down to Athens in our T Bird we were looking for the other frfty niners No rt couldn t be but am of his own, and so far he and Pat were doing tremendous with three boys y We had seen all the members of the class of 59 but seven On our way home we decided to search for the others, After arrtvmg rn Markle and resting for awhile we started looking We didn t have to look too far until we saw ern Pursrfull tn a tomato field He was too busy to talk to us but we chatted with his wife the former Caren Run- on She said they had a small farm and were very very happy Gary Bowman had his own farm close to Rock Creek I-le was still shy as ever but maybe not too shy He and arbara had been married for six years and had three sets of twins' Sputtering down the road a little ways we saw a huge white barn In big bold letters Dave Purslfull was in J ribed Dave didn t have much to say except that he wasn t hitched yet His beautiful hetfers were trying to eep up with Pam s horses with lots of success Melvin Crago is now Manager at Johnny s Melvin was complaimng as usual that his business partner George lower wouldn t work always took vacations and he had made off with the loot We knew our soft hearted George ouldn t do such a thing though' We decided to go take a swim at the Y To our surprise Janet McBr1de was there teaching the youngsters how cheers Janet was as sweet as she always was She told us that she and John were thrilled with their two W1ll s There was one more person on our list Jerry West was still remembered by us all although we didn t get to see im Hts mother said he was attending Purdue University and made very good grades She 1nformed us that Jerry was wgaged to Joyce Eckelbarger We know Joyce and Jerry will be a perfect match' The Class of 1960 decided they would be delighted to do this again sooner if possible HEYDE BROS Wmten by Wllma FOX Compliments of Gas For Less on behalf of the Iumor Class CLOUD S BARBER SHOP Huntington Indiana Warren Indiana Q , .
