CROSS COUNTRY Row 1 (LR)Janice Rothwell, Jody Rhodes, Catherine Arthaud. Row 2Linda Hamilton. Asst. Coach, Doug Tully, Geoff Meyer. Tim Morrow. Aaron Froese, John Hamilton. Coach. Row 3Pat Groshong. Rich West, Jeff Sowash. Kevin Schroeder. Peter Schneeberger. Sam Abadir. The team was small In number, but big in heart. In every meet they went to, they were very competitive. Rock Bridge would be very proud of these people, boasted Coach Hamilton of the 1986 Cross Country team. It was a season with big successes along with some setbacks, too. Between colds, injuries, and rainy days the Bruins ended up with a record of 3-3. The girls didn ' t have enough people to compete as a team, but Jody Rhodes went farther than anyone else to place in the Sectional Meet. Running on the Cross Country team takes dedication, and that is exactly what Coach Hamilton expects from his runners. It ' s not easy with practices sometimes going over 10 miles a day, but all the team members agree that it ' s worth it in the end. 28

TENNIS Tennis had a winning season this year despite the fact that it was a very young team, with only two Senior players. Anna Vemer commented on the season, It was very different from last season since we lost several of our key players, but we managed to come back and have a very successful season and a lot of fun, too. They look forward to coming years. We had a lot of new, fresh faces with great promise to give RB a good team with a fine future. Row 1 (LR) Carrie Campbell, Kathy Vincent, Jana Procell. Kae Walla ce, Kyri Rape, Kim Cunningham, Melynda Clark. Row 2Lynn Montgomery. Coach, Katy Ruether, Kim Trice, Shannon Nichols, Eva Andrews, Leah Lear, Ashley Leach. Row 3Heather Fogle. Kathy Everett. Casey Schapira. Laurie Williams. Kristen Heidenreich, Karen Clark. GOLF The Golf team, led by Coach Daniels, had a rebuilding season this year due to a young and inexperienced team. Al- though they finished with a record of 1- 7, all the girls agree that it was a win- ning season in spirit. Next year we will have a better team than this year. There were only two veteran players and the others didn ' t have the experience. com- mented Suzy Ollar, who went on to place 8th in State.
