Rich West, Jeff Sowash. Kevin Schroeder. Peter Schneeberger. Sam Abadir. The team was small In number, but big in heart. In every meet they went to, they were very competitive. Rock Bridge would be very proud of these people, boasted Coach Hamilton of the 1986 Cross Country team. It was a season with big successes along with some setbacks, too. Between colds, injuries, and rainy days the Bruins ended up with a record of 3-3. The girls didn ' t have enough people to compete as a team, but Jody Rhodes went farther than anyone else to place in the Sectional Meet. Running on the Cross Country team takes dedication, and that is exactly what Coach Hamilton expects from his runners. It ' s not easy with practices sometimes going over 10 miles a day, but all the team members agree that it ' s worth it in the end. 28
