Choruses at R.B.H.S. play an important role in our school and the Columbia community. Choir participate in numerous concerts and contests throughout the school year; singing for school activities, social and other frater- nal organizations, as well as graduation and many other activi- ties. Students involved in chorus also have the opportunity to sing in small groups or as soloists at District and State music Festi- vals. Although choirs at RB have frequently excelled in competi- tion (winning many trophies and top ratings,) the most important contribution of the choral music program is allowing students to experience the personal satisfac- tion gained from using the vocal instrument in a combined group effort, producing the kind of es- thetic musical experience t hat can be matched in no other way.
