Not only did the rain and unseasonably cold weather cause the cancellation of seven of their 22 games, but it also prevented the team from practicing. The team had the potential to be much better than their 6-9 record, as was shown when three of its players were honored with all-district recognition. Senior Terry Whitney was named to the second team. Seniors Mike Hall, who led the team in steals C20 out of 20 stolen basesj, and Hobie Crane, who led the team in batting C4361 and in RBI,s C155 were given honorable mention. One bright spot in the season was in the installation of bat girls for the first time. Looking forward to next year, the J .V. team which compiled a 12-l record this year, will move up to varsity.
