Sen zor H1story The Class of 1950 started 1ts h1gh school career ln September, 1946 wlth elghteen mem bers Charlotte Falrchxld was elected Presldent Don Taft V1ce Presldent Dan Chapxn Secretary and JIITI Mxller Treasurer Mlss McClelland was class adv1sor Lucxlle Nave moved away durmg Chr1stmas vacatlon and Gerald Smlth Jo1ned the class rn February Durlng our Sophomore year Mrs Mottar was our advxsor The class offlcers were Dan Chapxn Presldent Dlck Turley Vxce Presldent Don Taft Secretary and J'xm Mxller Trea surer We lost Donna Johnson Wayne Welch Don Mathews J'1m Sldener and Gerald Smxth as class members thzs year However welcommg Nell Cooper and Frances Hood near the end of our Sophomore year ralsed our membershlp to seventeen Our .Tumor year was a busy one The class conslsted of exghteen members wlth Mrs Smlth as our advxsor Beryl Crxner and Leonore Ohve entered ln September 1948 J'1m Mlller left to Joln the Army The class offlcers this year were Nell Cooper Presxdent Nadlne Slmpson, Vlce Pres1dent B1llDav1s Secretary and Charlotte Fa1rch1ld Treasurer We worked hard to ralse funds for the JLIIIIOI' Senlor Banquet and Prom held at the Leland Hotel The Junlor Class play Brother Goose was presented Bob Cantrall Jomed us m the sprmg of our Iunxor year We were proud to present our prom wlth a Mardl Gras theme Charles Rogers Orchestra furnlshed the musxc The Senxor class and the1r guests the faculty and school board members were our guests for the evemng September 1949 found us wlth mneteen members for our Semor year The class offxcers were as follows Don Taft Pres1dent Dan Chapm V1ce Presxdent Leonore Ohve, Secretary and Charlotte Falrchlld Treasurer Mr Churchxll and Mzss Emery were our class advisors We voted to have the Anker Stud1o of Sprxngfzeld take our pictures October 7 was our theater party On October Z0 we were accompamed by Mr Churchxll to have our pxctures taken We enjoyed dlnner at Gray s and saw a movle m the afternoon It was a very eventful day Our class flower was the Wh1te Rose class colors Red and Whxte and class motto 'Not Fmxshed .Tust Begun At the mvltatlon of the Tri Cxty Sen1ors we enjoyed a party at thexr school March 7 Our Baccalaureate prograrn was May Z1 On May 26 1950 we recelved our dlplomas at Comm encement and then bxd adneu to R H S Seniors 14 O O . . . . . . - .
