lnclustrial Arts XVith its aim being vocational educa- tion, the industrial arts department has endeavored to give the students practical experience in working with metals and wood. Under the chairmanship of Nlr. Ray- mond Smith, this department includes courses in auto mechanics. hletals I, II, Drawing I, Ilg sheetmetal, Cabinet I, II, lllg house planning, printing and photog- raphy. lluring the course of these studies, the enrolled students are given the oppor- tunity to use specialized instruments and tools pertaining to the individual course they choose, and as a result learn for which field they are the best suited. Directed by Mr. Sidney Suddendorf and Mr. Burdette Moeller, two Gilbert and Sul- livan operettas have been presented the past two summers, the former one being ll.M.S.
