At first we little freshmen, as the upperclassmen put it, weren't noticed because everyone including us, was admiring the new school. After the school had been thoroughly examined by everyone, the upperclassmen started making cracks such as Say, sonny, the -grade school is down the street, etc. The class officers were President, Dollene Weiks, Vice President, Anne Whittaker, Secretary, Judy Dewing, and Treasurer, James Johnson. The class representatives were Mike Boring and Virginia Bundy. Miss Christopher and Mr. Brown were the advisers. The freshmen class sponsored a sock dance on Jan- uary I8, after a basketball game, which was quite suc- cessful and everyone had a lot of fun, One of our main projects was our pennies for lights drive which was held in order to raise money for lights for the football field. Also we sponsored a clean-up campaign in the fall to keep our school grounds clean. Perhaps as freshmen who are going to graduate in I96O iwe hope? we will be the only class ever to say we were the first class to go clear through the new high school. taker, Mike Boring, Virginia Bundy.
