Writing a farewell message to you, the seniors, is always an occasion for mixed emotions, PRIDE in having had a part in guiding your education to graduation. REGRET that your familiar faces and voices will be gone from our school. HOPE that you will become the future leaders that you can be. ANXIETY that we have had the wisdom to give you proper guidance and counsel FAITH that you will continue to help yourself along the road to success. CURIOSITY to know what only time can reveal-as to how well we have worked together as a team. With all these emotions, and more, I sincerely congratulate you on having successfully opened another gate on the roadway to the future and hope that we have provided you the keys to the others you will meet. During the past years at Rochester High you members of the class of I957 have gone to school in the old building, spent two years in make-shift quarters, and spent this final year in a new building. While the physical facilities have been varied, the primary function of the school-to provide you with the best possible education-has remained the same. We hope that you have taken full advantage of the opportunities afforded you, and that you will put the knowledge you have gained to good use.
