JUNIOR-SENIOR BALL STARDUST was the theme chosen by the Junior and Senior classes f th ' f or ear ormal dance held in the Centralia Elk's Club April 20. Leo Milanowski's band furnished the music. SENIOR PROPHECY Thus year the annual staff splurged on somethung new Despute Mr Lanphere s protests we purchased a Maguc Prophecy Murror whuch Gabruel Heater swears by It was receuved uoyfully by all as It would mean that no poor soul would need to stay up nughts tryung to foretell the future of the senuors of l956 Gazung unto the murror we whuspered the maguc words and spoke the name of Audrey Tucker Suddenly the murror became cloudy then upon clearung we saw a huge buuldung and then we saw Audrey Wuth stull more maguc words the murror revealed the amazung news Audrey was the presudent of the Unuted States' We were almost too startled to go on but funally gatherung our wuts together we looked for the next person on our ust Once more our murror went to work Thus tume the subuect was Janet McVey Well kuds meet one of the Ladues of the mop lune at the Statler Hotel un New York Cuty For Pat Eckard the prophecy came swuftly The second Betty Crocker wull be none other than our Pat Ron Johnson s future brughtened our murror consuderably as he appears to b on the way toward becomung the buggest heart throb sunce Clark Gable For Ralph Strong a future of managung the Brooklyn Dodgerettes lgurl s baseball of coursel was seen Comung unto vusuon Joyce Keesee was seen playung a trombone un an all gurl orchestra durected by land our eyes popped a luttle herel none other than Edward Pop of Bop Galvun Our next gaze brought Larry Cole unto vuew Wow' Thus nearly brought down the house For we saw that un place of Power s Models uts Cole s Models Twenty y ars hence that us and you guess d ut hus leadung cover gurls seems to be Marulyn Waggoner Aluce Barber seemed to be a good prospect for an excutung future We were rught too for there she was head executuoner at Alcatraz For a munute we were all gaspung as we looked at the murror to see what ut foretold about Paul T Holm A large buuldung bearung the name Western Washungton Mental Hosputal loomed unto vuew But our fears were un vaun Our Pete s just the caretaker well on the next poor er uh l mean lucky person And we knew of nobody better than Maggue Bugler She seems to be doung quute well as a glass blower for the Crews Glass Company owned of course by the ever promunent lvan Crews Bless pat uf the countrys leadung physucust usn t Katherune Athanas And ut looks luke shes workung on a new get propelled rocket to zup about the unuverse Ray Walters blossomed unto vuew next as Harry Truman s puano tuner lt just goes to show you what can happen to a R H S graduate Surprusung as ut seems Lloyd Palm can look forward to a career of traunung stock car druvers Another untent gaze brought forth Don Dyce who seemed to be ooung very well as head dushwasher at Curo s un Hollywood Martun 8. All. SCHOOL PLA The all-school play, Curtain Going Up, was successfully produced by the cast, and director Mr. Donald Smith, on March 23 at the Maple Lane Village gymnasium. The leading roles included Miss Burgess, the dramatics teacher of Riverview High School, played by JoClayre Marvin, Mr. Norman Carter, journalism teacher, played by Don Dyce, Lorry Fuller, a natural, handsome girl with a frank approach, and Andrew Fullbright, a good student and athlete, portrayed by Tameria Newman and Ivan Crews respectively. The remaining cast included Nancy Leveridge, who tried to get the leading role in the school play, played by Linda Schulz, Milt Sanders, a bundle of adolescent energy, played by Charles Phelps, Buck O'Hara, an athletic type youth, played by John Ott, Jocko Cuthries, who was the actor-type, played by Dean Tedder. Miss Carolyn Moran was a sugar-sweet person who made one immediately suspicious of her sincerity, played by Edwina Mitchell, Miss Henrietta Rivers, who was Riverview High's senior sponsor, was played by Margaret Bigler, Elsie Hunter, a blonde who was frank. if not quite brash, portrayed by Karen Stout, Sylvia Moore, another student of RHS, played by Vernita Eklund, Janet Young, a hero-worshipper, played by Kent Newman. Margaret James portrayed the part of a theatrical individual, Joan White, a typical American school girl, was played by JoAnne Keesee, Mr. Richard Leveridge, the father of Nancy, was portrayed by Larry Cole, a middle-aged woman, who was Janet's mother, was played by Josephine Wesley, and a second-woman who con- gratulated the performance was portrayed by Joan Knute.
