F aculty And Administration Putting N ew Ideas in Education Mr. Hosie and the Board of Education have almost become celebrities in the tri-state area, as they have become the first to head a K-12 complex in this region. Mr. Hosie and the Board have proven themselves to be capable of iron- ing out all the problems that have arisen with this new system. Be- cause of their contributions and leadership our school represents one of the most advanced educa- tional systems on the eastern coast. lfow 1: Mr. Harold Shane, Vice-Presidentg Mr. Frank Mastalski, President. Row 2: Mr. James She- l1ne,.Secretaryg Mr. john Martino, Mriqloseph Widmer, Mr. james Edwards. Row 3: Dr. Edward Dawg Mr. George Baldwin, Solicitorg r. Nicholaus Rothart, Mr. Robert Batto. Absent Mr. john Kirclmer, Treasurerg Dr. james Crozier. 3 Mr. james Sheline, Business Manager X ,f Mr. Matthew Hosie, Chief School Administrator Mr. Skinner is in charge of co-ordinating studies for the entire district. He is respon- sible for keeping the lines of communication open between the teachers and students in the K-12 complex. Yet with all these responsi- bilities, he still has time to confer individually with students. With his assistance, the 1971- 72 school year has proven to be a totally new and successful experience. Mr. Douglas is in charge of 1,000 students and 1,000 problems, yet he is never too occu- pied to attend a game, a concert, or a play, and never too busy to say I like that. He is always pleasant, always smiling, always inter- ested, always a friend. F1 W'-1. -.mme-1.-.....,W... .J-Q Mrs. Betty Rusell, Secretary to Mr. Skinner Miss Aileen Buck enheimer, Secretary to Mr. Hosie. Rendering Valuable Assistance Those responsible for the Pupil Personnel Services surpassed their efforts in making the 1971-72 school year a more meaningful ex- perience for the students. Due to the efforts of the guidance counselors, there was far less con- fusion among the students than ever before. Procedures were executed smoothly and ex- pertly, thus proving the value of the service. TTI. '5- Counselors: Seated: Miss Geraldine Steinacker, Grade 125 Mr. Thomas Goett- man, Grade 9. Chorus Rochester has always been known for its fine A Cappella Choir. This year, under the direction of Mr. Phillip Inman and Mrs. Marjorie Shane, some changes have been made. Chorale, a chosen group of in- dividuals from the choir, is a new edition. Mr. Inman has been working to have the choir become sensuous -not only to sing the music, but to become sensitive to the emotions expressed in each song. The solemn sound of a hymn, a rousing spiritual, any song takes on a new fresh- ness and meaning when sung by our choir. And their busy schedule proves that our A Cappella Choir is one of the best. 126 Row 1: Suzanne Rubino, Caroline Hanshaw, Debbie Hatt, Lynn Giles, Liz Gardner, Cindy Valecorsa, Tracy jones, jeannie Allen, Cheryl Rosepink, Denise Goedeker, joyce Dolby, Pat Richards, Andee Zawinsky, Emma jean Fleet, Chris Brock, Sally Perkins, Sherry Phelps, Debbie Winters. Under the direction of Mr. jack Skrlac, the Marching Band had a new attraction this year-a giant Americaneftag car- ried at every game by the Ram Chargers. The Concert and Stage Bands presented new and exciting num- bers at both their Midwinter Pop Concert and Spring Concert. The lively enthusiasm of these young musicians proves to all that our band will always remain one of the best. 130 'Www jim Barr, Vice President, Scott Schietroma, President, jeff Phelps, Social Chairman, Amy Hood, Secret Sligh, Treasurer. ary, Eric gn' Flutes: Doug Shafer, Evelyn Peterson, Anita Farmer.
