After we leave Rochester High School, we will probably forget the hardships, the grievances, and the homework. Our memory will only retain the pleasant and we will be better for it. What will we remember ten, twenty years from now? We will remember that as seniors, we participated in many things as a class. We earned money for our senior trip to Washington, D.C. by selling candy. When April arrived, how- ever, the Nation's capitol was in turmoil over the assassination of Martin Luther King, Ir. Plans to go to New York City were also cancelled for the same reasons. How can we forget this? Individually, collegebound classmates received college acceptances that secured their future for a few years at least. Others finding work more to their liking, found jobs that held security for the rest of their lives . . . or until marriage came along. Perhaps the biggest event was commencement. WE left Rochy behind and went on to bigger and more enriching exper- iences: jobs, colleges, marriage, and a family. Regardless though of what we chose and did, Rochester High School will always be in our hearts as the place that started our dreams. Yes, 1968 was our year. iw? 3,6
