Board nt Education To the Board of Education, we, the Class of 1954, wish to extend our sincere appreci- ation for the many things they have done for us. During the past school year, tive new sew- ing machines were purchased for the Home Economics Department, and new desks were placed in Room 31. The halls and several rooms of the high school, as well as the auditorium, were painted and redecorated, Due to the jointure program, a larger and better equipped school building is under consideration. These are a few of the services our school board has rendered. With such a fine group of directors super- vising and planning our school, We can be assured of lasting success in the future. .-Y' iii' l A busy group of school administrators meet to dis- cuss educational problems facing Rochester Area Ioint Schools.

Or is it something more profound . . . more mystic . . . more human? ln the Halls of Rochy echo the iootialls of those gone before, while whispers of others still to come hover in the very air. Our school is not simply metal and masonry, but the embodiment of all those working and playing within its domain. As the years pass swiftly, taken up with the business and excitement of day by day living, this structure will become a symbol of all the friendships, knowledge, and sportsmanship made, learned, and practiced here. Thus we salute Rochester High School . . , our Alma Mater. Game-bound. these loyal Rochy fans

ROBERT P. BARNER Superintendent, Rochester Ioint Area Schools We, the Seniors, have made our mark and left a lingering print upon the open page of our school's illustrious history. A large share of our success is due, undoubtedly, to the wise guidance of our distinguished leaders, Mr. Robert P. Barner, Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Fenton H. Farley, Principal, and Mr. William Peacock, Assistant Prin- cipal. Sharing with us our thrills and dis- appointments, encountered in growing up, they have been unfailing in their support and generous with their time and efforts to make our school life enjoyable as well as profitable. As the hourglass relentlessly records the passing of time, we shall, in retro- spect, once more remember and again appreciate the friendly interest and sage counsel of Mr. Barner, Mr. Farley, and Mr. Peacock.
