OUR FUTURE ARTISTS AND HOUSE The art class has had a very busy year, and the students have advanced much in various phases of art work. The students were first permitted to work indi- vidually, thus discovering preference.s and abilities. This later led to specialization. Under the capable direction of Miss Bevington, the students studied modern art and design. They used water colors, tempera, textile, and powdered paints to produce many interesting and beautiful art pieces. Still more work was done with clay, charcoal, and stencil. Each .student was required to make a booklet ex- plaining colors, their uses, and different blends and shades. An art exhibit in the spring disclosed the talent and hard work of this class. NW L v .L
