HI-Y CLUB Tllv Hi-Y Clllll, with Mr. Purdue as the sponsor, was directed this year hy the following otiicers: Robert Mathias, president: .lohn Taylor, x'ice-presi- dent: Don Stout, secretary: and james Yike, treasurer. ln the fall the memlxers had a sizzling time at a wiener roast which was held at the Tippecanoe River. This was followed hy the traditional fall treasure hunt. Later in the year the eluh sponsored two dances, one at Hallowe'en and the other in january. ln the spring' came the annual spring picnic and an- other treasure hunt. Of course, the time-honored hi-weekly hean suppers were held through- out the year. The meetings were unusually good. Some of the speakers who appeared on progxams were: Rey. Klcliee, Klr. l,isle Krieghhaum, Rev. Ross- Shannon, Dr. Herkehile, Mr. Clyde l.yle, Nlr. K. Y. jones. Mr. l'aul XYatson, and Rey. Rafnel. The oliicers elected for next year attended the State Officers' Conference at Indianapolis, They are: blames Shelton, president: Don Stout, vice-presi- dent: Holm Cessna, secretary: and lidward Kliller, treasurer.
