Helping others brings pleasure to MCC students Being at a Christian college gave students at M.C.C. a chance to participate in many service activities for the Church and community. From the beginning of the school year, many students helped with a group of mentally retarded Cub Scouts, going to their weekly meetings and giving their time to special activities. Students also had the opportunity to donate blood early in the year. Monthly visits to the Romeo Home for the Aged, which started third quarter, inspired all who took part. Helping out in the Sunday School classes of the local congregations also brought enjoyment to several students. TEACHING a Sunday School class at Rochester, Brenda Adkins captures the attention of her students. XX N CONVERSATION shared at the Romeo home for the aged msplres Dean Oliver as well as the home's residents. CHILDREN huddle around Jeanne Daley, dressed as Mickey Mouse for the Cub Scout parade

Fanfasticks cast and crew travel abroad The Fantasticksn, a contemporary musical by Tom Jones and Harvey L. Schmidt, brought a delightful change to the M.C.C. theatre. Calling for a small cast and very few props, the musical centered around two fathers trying to unite their son and daughter through a scheme of reverse psychology. A unique aspect of this production was a double cast for the female parts. The production was climaxed by taking the cast and crew on tour, a first for the M.C.C. theatre. Although tired and rushed, the cast performed marvelously before an enthusiastic and receptive audience at Great Lakes Christian College in Beamsville, Ontario. THROUGH modern dance, Dana Middleton expresses a part of the play. FANTASTICKS' entire cast and crew meet for instructions before dress rehearsal. 39
